Service & Objectives
Objectives 1: To offer support and care for the wellbeing of our members
Strategies
- Having a proper database where all member details are kept.
- Establishing a Centre where all activities and administration of the Association are held
- Continue to enhance the values and strengthen bonds that were formed whilst at the college and making sure these values are still valid.
- Ensure members wellbeing is prioritized and to work alongside various agents, government and business partners for any financial support to support the wellbeing of our members.
- Support various sub-groups within the Association to make sure their wellbeing are looked after and they are in line with our objectives.
Objectives 2: Upholding and preserving our Tongan Culture and values
Strategies
- Host seminars/trainings on various topics to promote/preserve our Tongan culture and values.
- Host activities where we preserve our culture especially with tradition dance and music.
- Host trainings/activities where we promote our Tongan language especially with our children that were born in New Zealand.
- Work closely with various donors and business partners in projects that focus on improving the lives of our people in Tonga.
- Work in close collaboration with Tupou College and other agents in Tonga in various projects/activities that foster our Tongan culture.
Objectives 3: To promote our various Projects/Academies as we are developing and assisting our member’s talents
Strategies
The Association has 4 Academies/Projects and each academy has a purpose and activities.
- Maamaloa Musical Academy
- Educational Academy
- Health Academy
- Sport Academy
Objectives 4: Improve the Financial matters of the Association
Strategies
- Prepare a financial analysis to make sure the investment has greater return
- Seek a balance of activities in capacity building and income generation for the Association.
- Search for other opportunities that bring financial support to the Association.
- Keeping the Financial matters and making sure the Association is sustainable.
